Automated
Backups
In
Menu Tools->Automated Backup ... there is a Dialog for the
management of automated backups. If you haven’t defined any automated
backup
tasks until now, a window will appear where you can define a new
automated
backup task:

In
the field "Schedule", you can define a time when the
backup should take place. In the upper area, you have to add a name to
your
automated backup task. Alternatively, you can choose an existing task
by
clicking on the 3 point button. By default the actual task is already
set.
Automated Backups are all differential and affect the
whole Task
Please
note: Automated backups are always differential backups. In other
words: Only one file's version, the most resent, will be saved. The
entire task
will be executed with all defined paths. The settings in the main
window will
be disregarded.
As
soon as you click on Save, the task will appear in the list of
scheduled backups:

Please
note: Automated backups will only be executed after a restart of
the application.
Right
away there is a possibility to set more options:
If you check the option "Keep
me informed about conducted automatic backups", the
following
window will appear every time the backup task has been executed.

Note:
There is another checkbox "Show these windows only in case
of warnings". This will switch off the message in case of a fully
successful backup.
The Symbol on Windows® Task Tray

As
soon as at least one automated backup is defined a Symbol of
Langmeier Backup will show up in the Windows® task tray. If you double
click on
the symbol the application will open. Note: The icon will not appear if
the
execution of the automated backup is right after the definition.
