Save Emails and Favorite Web sites
In the main window you can click on Add... , and in the dialogue under "Source:" on the drop-down arrow . This will bring up the following menu:
Select "Email and Internet Favorites...". The following assistant will appear:
In a first step, choose the application which will provide the data. The next steps depend on the application chosen. The assistant takes you there, step by step. Please follow the instructions in the assistant.
Outlook: Which files will be saved?
The backup you can prepare with the assistant may contain the following Outlook-Elements:
- All
Email-folders (Inbox/Outbox/Sent Items/Drafts,etc...)
- Contacts
- Calendar
- Tasks
- Notes
- Journals
- all folder created by the Outlook user containing elements of the folders mentioned above.
Hint for Network Administrators: In case you operate Outlook in Intranet- or Workgroup Mode for corporate networks, please note: Langmeier Backup saves the users PAB (Personal Address Book) only, if it is in the same folder as the Outlook.pst-file. Otherwise you will have to add this file manually to the backup command. If you are using the Outlook server features Langmeier Backup will not automatically save the global address book or the data of an exchange server through the automatic Outlook-Back-.
The Assistant does not prepare backups for the following elements:
- Categories
- Signatures
- Rules and Alerts
- Outlook Bar

Supported versions of Outlook:
Langmeier Backup can backup data from all currently known versions of Outlook. The Assistant for the automatic backup preparation supports Outlook 97, 2000, 2002 & XP and 2003.
Outlook Express: Which parts will be included in the backup?
The backup you prepare with the Assistant contains the following Outlook Express-Elements:
- All
Email-folders (Inbox/Outbox/Sent Items/Drafts,etc...)
- all folder created by the user containing elements of the folders mentioned above
- Addresses from the Windows Address Book (WAB)
The Assistant does not prepare backups for the following elements:
- Rules
- Signatures
- Outlook Bar
- Email templates

Supported versions of Outlook Express:
The Assistant supports the Outlook Express-Versions 4 to 6. These are the most common versions today, in use since Windows 95.
